The Syntel Recruitment Process starts with an Online Aptitude Test which is designed to assess a candidate’s basic aptitude skills in Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and English abilty. This article will focus on the Syntel Test Pattern, Expected Cut-Off, Section wise Syllabus.

Syntel Careers have updated the Syntel Recruitment Process for Freshers. Candidates are expected to prepare for all the Stages of Syntel Placement Process in order to successfully get placed there.

The Syntel Recruitment Process consists of the following Rounds, click on each round for more details about them.

  • Online Aptitude Test – The Syntel Online test is the first stage of Syntel Recruitment Process. This round, as the name suggests will assess the basic aptitude of candidates. This test decided whether the candidate will go for the next stages of Syntel Recruitment, i.e Technical and HR Interview Rounds.

Syntel Test Pattern (Latest)

The Syntel Test Pattern is given below. The total time allotted for the test is 1 hour. There is no negative marking. The test consists of three sections, namely:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Verbal Ability

The Syntel online test consists of a total of 90 questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal ability. All these 90 questions are expected to be completed within a time limit of 60 minutes or 1 hour.

According to this Syntel test pattern, 30 questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude to be solved within a time limit of 20 minutes, 30 questions will be asked from Logical Reasoning to be solved within a time limit of 20 minutes and similarly, 30 questions will be asked from Verbal Ability to be solved within a time limit of 20 minutes.

The Syntel Test Pattern for the online test requires the candidates to manage their time efficiently since every question needs to be solved in less than a min.

The tip here is to solve those questions first which seem the easiest. After the easy ones are finished, move on to the tougher ones. Don’t waste too much time on a single question.

  • Minimum questions to attempt: 24-25

Syntel Quantitative Aptitude test is of major importance for placements because this section measures a candidate’s numerical ability and accuracy in mathematical calculations. A total of 30 questions are asked in this section within a time limit of 20 minutes.

30 questions in 20 minutes should give you a hunch that the level of questions will be easy and the section will be a game of speed. It is suggested that you try to solve at least 70-80% of the questions.

  • HR Interview – For this round, there is no specific pattern, a candidate will have to answer questions based on his/her personal choice, there are no right answers or wrong answers, and it is basically to test one’s personality.
