Infosys Certification Exams 2026: Springboard, Pattern, and Prep
What Infosys certifications exist in 2026, how Springboard registration works, exam pattern, syllabus areas, and prep methods for engineering students.
Infosys runs two distinct certification tracks in 2026 that most placement guides conflate: Infosys Springboard (open to any student or professional), and the internal training certifications that joined Infosys employees complete during the Mysore induction programme.
Only the Springboard track is relevant to you before joining Infosys. This article covers that track only.
What Infosys Certifications Exist in 2026
Three platforms carry the Infosys certification brand. They serve different audiences and only one is publicly accessible.
| Platform | Audience | Access | What it certifies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Infosys Springboard | Students and professionals globally | Public, free registration | Programming, DSA, SQL, AI/ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity |
| InfyTQ (legacy) | Engineering graduates for placement | Merged into Springboard | Same as Springboard (discontinued as separate platform) |
| Lex / Wingspan | Infosys employees only | Internal login | Role-specific upskilling for active employees |
| Mysore campus training certs | Joined Infosys trainees | Internal, during induction | Technology tracks assigned by Infosys based on project needs |
The Mysore campus certifications are not something you can prepare for as a student. You receive a track assignment after joining, go through 3 to 6 months of training on the Infosys Mysore campus, and the internal certification follows. You have no control over which track you get.
InfyTQ was the placement-focused certification platform that Infosys launched for engineering graduates around 2019. The domain infytq.infosys.com now routes to Springboard. If you have an old InfyTQ account, your credentials transfer.

The programming and DSA certifications are the most directly relevant for Infosys hiring. The AI/ML and cloud certifications are relevant for the forward-deployed engineering roles Infosys is actively building out (more on this in the hiring section below).
How to Prepare
Infosys Springboard is its own preparation resource. The free courses on the platform cover the certification syllabus directly.
What to do:
- Start with the course content on Springboard before looking anywhere else. Infosys has stated it is not in partnership with third-party websites for certification preparation. Paid courses from external platforms claiming to prepare you for “Infosys certification” do not have access to actual Springboard content.
- For programming certifications, code every example yourself. Reading solutions does not build the hands-on question skill the assessment tests.
- For DSA, practice on HackerRank or LeetCode alongside the Springboard modules. The hands-on section rewards working code, not just theoretical understanding.
- For SQL, practice on a local database (MySQL or PostgreSQL). Writing and running queries yourself is faster than reading about them.
- Review the Infosys placement papers and pattern to understand how Infosys tests problem-solving in the broader hiring process.
Realistic timeline:
- Python fundamentals + OOP: 2 to 3 weeks at 1 hour per day for someone with basic programming exposure
- DSA: 4 to 6 weeks (the longest track; most students underestimate this)
- SQL: 1 to 2 weeks
- AI/ML fundamentals: 2 to 3 weeks
Complete one certification at a time rather than starting all tracks simultaneously. The Springboard platform tracks your progress per course and sends reminders. Use them.
What Certifications Do (and Don’t Do) for Infosys Hiring
Infosys has three fresher hiring tracks. The certification matters differently at each level.
| Track | CTC | Certification relevance |
|---|---|---|
| System Engineer (SE) | 3.6 LPA | Standard aptitude test; certification not required but signals seriousness |
| Specialist Programmer (SP) | 6.5 LPA | InfyTQ/Springboard certification holders are preferred; stronger coding test |
| Power Programmer (PP) | 9.5 LPA | Top HackWithInfy performance; certification is baseline, not differentiator |
For the SE track, you take the standard Infosys online aptitude test. Certification is not a prerequisite. For the SP track, certification signals that you’ve covered the DSA and programming syllabus the technical interview tests. The PP track selects on HackWithInfy competitive coding performance; a Springboard certification is useful background preparation but won’t distinguish you from the other finalists.
Infosys onboarded 20,000 freshers in FY26 and has indicated similar plans for FY27, per CEO Salil Parekh’s Q4 FY26 commentary. The same commentary confirmed that candidates with skills more attuned to AI start at different (higher) compensation, and that Infosys is building a pool of forward-deployed engineers for AI solution work directly with clients.
The Springboard AI/ML fundamentals certification places you in the right learning zone for that shift. It demonstrates that you’ve covered the concepts. What it does not demonstrate is that you can build with AI tools, which is the distinction that matters for the forward-deployed engineering roles.
The gap between “completed an AI/ML course” and “shipped an AI project” is where most students stall. Building one real project with a live LLM API does more for that gap than three more certificates. TinkerLLM is where you build it: for ₹299 you get real LLM API access and a structured project environment where the output is something you can actually show a recruiter. The Springboard certification covers the theory; TinkerLLM closes the applied half.
For interview prep after the certification stage, the FACE Prep guide to cracking Infosys interviews covers what the technical and HR rounds look like for the 2025 hiring cycle.
If you’re preparing for the AI/ML track more broadly, the 2026 AI roadmap for Indian engineering students covers what skills the market is actually asking for and how to sequence them.

Frequently asked questions
Is InfyTQ still active in 2026 or has it been replaced?
The InfyTQ brand is largely retired. Infosys merged its public learning and certification offerings into Infosys Springboard (infyspringboard.onwingspan.com). If you registered on infytq.infosys.com previously, your credentials and progress are typically accessible via Springboard login.
Are Infosys Springboard certification exams free?
Most foundational certifications on Springboard are free, including assessments in Python, Java, DSA, and SQL. Some advanced or professional-level certifications carry an exam fee. Check the individual course page on Springboard for current pricing before enrolling.
Does an Infosys Springboard certification guarantee a job at Infosys?
No. Springboard certifications signal learning and can qualify you for the preferred hiring pool for the Specialist Programmer track. They do not guarantee a job offer or an interview slot. Hiring decisions depend on the online test, technical interview, and business requirements.
Which Springboard certification is most useful for the SP track?
Certifications in Python programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, and SQL/DBMS are directly aligned with the Specialist Programmer hiring criteria. The SP track focuses on stronger coding ability, and demonstrated skill in these areas is what the technical interview tests.
How many attempts are allowed if I fail the Springboard exam?
Infosys typically allows a re-attempt after a waiting period (historically one month after a first attempt). Check your individual course page on Springboard for the current retake policy, as this can vary by certification.
Can non-engineering students register on Infosys Springboard?
Yes. Infosys Springboard is open to students and working professionals across disciplines. The certifications are not restricted to B.E./B.Tech graduates. However, the hiring preference for InfyTQ/Springboard certification applies specifically to Infosys campus and off-campus placement processes for engineering graduates.
